AnitaI am an old lady rider who has had the same horse for 20yrs.

Needless to say I became quite nervous to ride any other horses. When I met Lucy I was looking for an instructor that could help me gain my confidence back.

Lucy has an amazing way of instructing me in the art of riding. She has been able to use many different concepts to ensure I understand what I need to do for both myself and my horse.

I started to ride her lovely tb to learn to balance my seat at the canter. I never wanted to canter in any lesson as I never really had much balance. Lucy has not only taught me to canter but now I look forward to this the most in my lessons.

I have a youngster that a friend had been riding out all around the suburbs. I asked Lucy to take him on for a week to see if she could help to establish some buttons to help his education. He is 16.1 big strapping stockhorse buckskin.

Jarrah had started to boss me on the ground too. After the week of training I hoped on Jarrah and had a lesson.

To my delight he was light in front, calm and forward moving. He was much more confident in himself. Jarrah has quite a tight back but I had not really understood that until I felt what it was like for him to give and relax in his back.

After Lucy’s training and my lesson I was truly excited about riding Jarrah. He is also much better on the ground too. I did not take him to just anyone as I did not want break his spirit.

Lucy is a kind and consistent rider that my horse and other horses have responded beautifully too.

I have had 4 or so instructors in my 20yrs of riding and not one had got through to me like Lucy did. I am for every grateful that I met Lucy.
Thankyou
Anita

DebAfter seriously deciding to sell my horse as we were not getting along, I stopped to watch a friends lesson she was having with an 'English lady'!

As soon as I went down to the arena and watched the lesson, watched how she rode and communicated with her pupil, I knew thats what i wanted for myself and my horse.

Lucy trained in England under Christopher Bartle who is currently the National Coach to the German Olympic Three day Event Team, Christopher competed internationally in both Dressage and three day eventing. Lucy travelled back and forth to England allowing her to study and sit for the last part of her British Horse Society Instructor certificate.

I really enjoy learning every new technique and understanding how each step of training is so important for horse and rider confidence. Rhythm, looseness, contact, impulsion, straightness and collection are the 6 steps to success.

I have been riding with Lucy Williams for about 2 and half years, now we have a great horse that i am so thankful that i didnt sell, we are a great team Puck and I, but Lucy is a huge part of our team.

I wouldnt hesitate in recommending Lucy as an instructor and rider.
Happy Riding, Debbie and Puck.
